Gemalto PVS8 Industrial Plus Wireless M2M Module delivers optimised CDMA connectivity. It offers compatibility with GSM-based M2M Modules as well as a migration path to the network technologies of the future.
Supporting the CDMA2000 technology standard, the Gemalto PVS8 Industrial Plus Wireless M2M Module is optimised for high bandwidth and allows EV-DO data rates up to 3.1 Mbps. It shares the exact same form factor as the Cinterion PHS8 (HSPA+ only) and the Cinterion PXS8 (Multi Mode CDMA/ HSPA+) modules supporting network flexibility from a single design and allowing room for growth to 4G cellular technology when desired.
Enabling a full range of M2M functions and features plus CDMA-GSM compatibility, the PVS8 module offers an ideal connectivity solution for the challenging requirements of global ruggedized mobile computing, security solutions and connected medical equipment. Gemalto’s trademark LGA technology enables optimized heat dissipation to prevent warpage and improve durability and it gives customers the freedom to select the most beneficial and cost effective soldering paste for individual applications. Like all Cinterion products, the PVS8 module comes with full type approval (FTA) and is certified by the largest CDMA carriers.
