Ripley SCS MAX Series – Cable Semi-Con Scoring Tool (500 mm²-1200 mm²) is an extended version of the existing SCS Series. It’s designed to make precision score depth cuts on large diameter power cables with strippable semi-con for proper semi-con removal. The tool is suitable for cable diameters ranging from 500 mm² to 1200 mm², with a scoring depth up to 4mm (0.16″).
Two versions of the Ripley SCS MAX tool are available, one with customary/ inch scale units (US05-7100) and one with metric scale units (US05-7101).
Features
Compact & user-friendly scoring tool scores semi-con on large cables without damaging the insulation.
Eliminates the need for traditional stripping knives, reducing the risk of cuts or lacerations.
Performs spiral & calibrated square cuts on cable diameters ranging from 500 mm² to 1200 mm².
Precise & easily adjustable blade depths from 0 to 4 mm (0″ to 0,16″) in increments of 0,05 mm (0,002″).
Operates within a 101,6 mm (4″) envelope on larger cables.
Equipped with a standard cable guide in either customary (inch) or metric (mm) unit measurements.
Blade depth is easily adjustable & set by turning the dial.
Easily clamp onto the cable width, adjusting for various cable sizes.
Score semi-con in a spiral pattern for a continuous chip.
Square off the continuous chip with a clean, burr-free radial cut.
