The MV-CONNEX range is ideal for use in ring main units, circuit-breaker switchgear, high-voltage motors, transformers, capacitors, transducers and sealing boxes. The connectors on the equipment-side are designed to meet EN 50180, 50181, and DIN 47637. The plug is suitable for all kinds of insulated plastic cables. As well as a wide range of standard types there are also customer-specific versions for every cable type.
Meets all your requirements for a universal system of separable connectors: fully insulated with metal housing and providing touch-proof properties. Features no liquid insulating medium and there is no need to open the cable termination at the installation site. It is maintenance-free, suitable for outdoor use, waterproof and offers high short-circuit protection. This means MV-CONNEX can be used even in the most extreme conditions. Thorough transformer and GIS testing by manufacturer possible.
Standard kits are suitable for unarmoured single core XLPE or EPR insulated power cables with Copper-wire screen and bonded semiconductive layer. Copper-tape screen (CuTS) cables will require an additional EARTHING KIT. Aluminium Wire Armour (AWA) Cables will also require EARTHING KIT E. Cables with Easy-Peel semi-conductive layer will require EARTHING KIT F.
