Ripley SCS Series – Adjustable Semi-Con Scoring Tool is a compact and user-friendly scoring tool designed for non-bonded semi-conductive layer (Easy Peel) cables. It scores semi-con on non-bonded medium voltage 5 to 35 kV cables without damaging the insulation and performs longitudinal, spiral and calibrated square cuts on cable diameters ranging from 35 mm² to 630 mm².
Two versions of the tool are available:
– Ripley SCS (43625, 43630): General purpose semi-con scoring for most medium voltage cable constructions, equipped with a standard cable guide.
– Ripley SCS V2 (43650, 43651): Designed to provide better control on highly bowed or curved cable & equipped with a narrowed cable guide that accommodates sheathed & jacketed 3-phase assemblies.

Eliminates the need for traditional stripping knives, reducing the risk of cuts or lacerations.
Performs longitudinal, spiral & calibrated square cuts on cable diameters ranging from 35 mm² to 630 mm².
Precise & easily adjustable blade depths from 0 to 4 mm (0″ to 0,16″) in increments of 0,05 mm (0,002″).
Adjustable blade pitch accommodates various cable diameters.
Operates within a 51 mm (2″) envelope on larger cables.
Easily replaced blade.
Blade depth is easily adjustable & set by turning the dial.
Four blade pitch settings adjust the spiral width for various cable sizes.
Score semi-con in a spiral pattern for a continuous chip.
Simply pull the tool along the full cable length to perform longitudinal cuts.
