3M™ Scotchcast™ Hazardous Area Resin Joint Kit LVI-3/8 (240 – 400mm²)

The 3M LVI-3/8 Resin Joint Kit is a specialised hazardous-area inline jointing solution for multi-core armoured low-voltage polymeric cables. Designed for Zone 1 & Zone 2 environments, this 3M LVI-3/8 Kit provides advanced electrical insulation, flame-retardant performance and reliable mechanical protection for LV energy cable joints. Each Scotchcast LVI-3/8 (Scotchcast LVI-38) kit includes a transparent two-part mould body with a snap-fit closing system, a flame-retardant phase spacer web and 3M™ Scotchcast™ 1402FR resin packaged in a closed two-chamber mixing system.

Ideal for hazardous industrial sites, the LVI-3/8 Resin Joint delivers safe, consistent installation using either compression or mechanical connectors. The kit also accommodates lead-sheathed cable and PILC transition jointing.

In addition to the Standard Kit, the following options are available:

The 3M LVI-3/8 is a high-integrity, flame-retardant inline solution engineered for the most demanding LV applications. This LVI-3/8 Resin Joint combines the performance of 1402FR resin, a precision-built mould body and a flame-retardant spacer web to ensure dependable sealing and long-term safety in high-risk environments.
