Shearbolt Connectors with Heatshrink Insulation, 1kV (10-240mm²) is a kit for splicing of 1kV plastic insulated 3-, 4- and 5-conductor cable according to IEC 60228. For both Cu/Al solid and stranded conductors.

The system with screw terminals, Click & Heat, ranges from 10 to 240 mm² and comes in 4 kits that include everything. It adapts to stranded and solid aluminium and copper cables, as well as round and sector-shaped conductors, which do not need to be round-shaped.
APPLICATION
Complete connecting kit for simple jointing of plastic-insulated 3- and 4-conductor cables up to 1 kV.
PRINCIPLE
The connecting kit consists of screw connectors and heat shrink insulation (made by 3M).
The cable conductors connect with a screw through connector provided with screws. The screws break at the groove when achieving the correct torque and position.
Sector-shaped conductors do not need preforming.
The various phase conductors feature heat shrink insulation.
The heat shrink insulation is of polyolefin, and the splices coated internally with an adhesive which melts and seals when heated.
With the filler piece supplied, a 3+1 cable can be connected easily to a 4G cable.
NATURE OF SUPPLY
The kits come complete with screw through connectors, insulation and operating instructions.
