Nexans HSGK Top Hat Gland Kits (also known tubular glands) provide an effective moisture seal around the cable outer sheath, earth the cable armour wires and provide a means of grounding the solderless earth screen braids if present. Made to comply with stud spacings to BS 2562. For indoor and outdoor use on switchgear or transformer cable boxes. Also extends space for termination by 150mm.

Manufactured from galvanised sheet steel and suitable for use with all Steel Wire Armour (SWA) cables up to 36kV. The cable armour wires are effectively earthed around the circumference of the gland, with an integral earth facility provided on the mounting flange to allow connection to the building system earth. Suitable for three-core MV power cables and supplied with a sealant-lined heatshrink shroud to provide a barrier to moisture ingress.
Supplied with M10 fixings but features both X and Y BS2562 fixing centres, 66.0 x 66.0mm and 86.0 x 95.0mm. Each Nexans gland kit is suitable for a range of conductor cross-sectional areas, depending on the cable’s maximum voltage rating. Please see our datasheet for full gland kit specification.

Manufactured from galvanised sheet steel and designed to accommodate three single-core unarmoured TRIPLEX cables in formation. Rather than a single heatshrink tube, the HSGK 2-TRIPLEX features a three-core breakout to effectively seal around the cable interstices and provide a moisture-resistant seal onto the gland body.
Supplied with M12 fixings and BS2562 Y fixing centres (86.0 x 95.0mm), the HSGK 2-TRIPLEX gland is suitable for all 11kV and 22kV TRIPLEX cables.
Manufactured from aluminium alloy and suitable for use with AWA cables up to 36kV. The cable armour wires’ earthing goes around the circumference of the gland. The kit includes a set of three tubular glands with M10 four-bolt fixings to BS2562 dimension X: 66.0 x 66.0mm fixing centres.
Supplied as a set of three phases with sealant-lined heat shrink shrouds to provide a barrier to moisture ingress. We can supply shrouds as separate items for instances where the glands come with the equipment. Insulating plates are also available for instances where the AWA needs isolation from the equipment, see the IG-1 kit (three required).
